 DeSanders
Krebs DeSanders® are centrifugal devices with no moving parts, identical to hydrocyclones but with a closed solids discharge. The solids enter the body of the DeSander tangentially and are then separated from the liquid by centrifugal force. The liquid discharges out of the unit as overflow and the solids discharge into an accumulator tank from which they are purged periodically.
DeSanders are most effective in applications in which the solids loading is less than 1% solids by weight. Krebs manufactures a range of DeSanders for a wide range of applications.
Krebs has a computer simulation program that accurately predicts the performance of the desanders, eliminating the need to test the units on site.
