XZ Cyclones

Relatively inexpensive hydrocyclones with steel housings and replaceable elastomer liners are available. The liners can be gum rubber, neoprene, chlorobutyl, EPDM and nitrile. The hydrocyclones are designed so the liners seal the hydrocyclone and ensure that no slurry touches the housings. The liners are also spark tested to ensure that there are no pin holes.

Cast Metal Hydrocyclones

are available in 0.5", 1.0", 2.0", 4.0", 6.0", and 10.0" diameters. These hydrocyclones are unlined and can be cast in any metal. These hydrocyclones cannot be built to ASME code specifications.

Fabricated Metal Hydrocyclones

are also available. These hydrocyclones can be designed, built and stamped in accordance to ASME pressure vessel code, section VIII, division I. The hydrocyclones can be designed to any pressure and temperature.

Small Diameter Hydrocyclones

are required for very fine separations. The small hydrocyclones are limited on capacity so a large number of these might have to be manifolded together. The 0.5, 1.0" and 2.0" diameter hydrocyclones can be manifolded together in closed pack type manifolds. The center section of the canister is the feed chamber which also contains the hydrocyclones. The overflows and underflows discharge into separate chambers. The manifolds can be designed to ASME pressure vessel code specifications.
